Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, In the photo, Rafi is seen on the right. The photos are from the Sixth Battalion. Rafi served as the photographer for the Czech army in the battalion and was also the official interpreter "from Czech to German" during visits by senior officers of the Nazi German armies in Czechoslovakia. Rafi knew and spoke seven languages.

Those serving in the unit were protected from deportation to Poland. Most of the recruits participated in the Slovak Uprising.
